About the client
TWIN CITIES MELBOURNE
TWIN CITIES MELBOURNE is a cozy modern hostel in the very center of St. Petersburg on Poltavsky Proezd. The hostel features an unusual Australian interior and live inhabitants - a family of sugar gliders who give guests peace and comfort. The location on the ground floor of a separate building with an entrance from the street makes the hostel unique for St. Petersburg - there is no need to climb to high floors along narrow stairs. The hostel is aimed at travelers, budget tourists, students and those looking for a friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to meet like-minded people.

Prototype
Prototype development
When developing the prototype, we focused on the main thing - the traveler must quickly understand why this particular hostel is worthy of his attention. The prototype begins with a bright home page that immediately shows the uniqueness of the place - the Australian interior, the presence of sugar gliders, a separate entrance. Next comes a booking calculator with a choice of dates and room type, detailed cards for each room type (men's, women's, family, family with bathroom) with characteristics and price. We added an infrastructure and amenities section with a detailed description of the kitchen, lounge, reception, cleaning, and more. The photo gallery shows the atmosphere of the hostel from different angles. The reviews section showcases the voices of real guests. Contacts and communication methods (phone, email, instant messengers) are available on every page.

Design
Design development
The design is built around the idea of ββcoziness, friendliness and Australian exoticism. The color palette uses warm tones that create a welcoming feeling. Visual elements hint at an Australian theme - icons, illustrations, a photograph of sugar gliders. The entire interface is designed for maximum convenience: large, visible booking buttons, clear hierarchy of information, easy navigation. On mobile devices, the design remains intuitive and fast. Each block of information (rooms, infrastructure, reviews) is highlighted visually and is easily scanned by the eye.

Development
Layout and development
The site was developed on the Tilda platform using its powerful tools for creating modern pages. A home page with a video review of the hostel, a heroic image and quick access to booking has been implemented. A functional booking calculator has been created that allows you to select the type of room, date of arrival and departure, number of guests, and see the availability of places in real time. Detailed cards have been developed for each type of room - men's, women's, family and family with private bathroom. Each card contains photos, a description, a list of included services and a booking button. An extensive infrastructure section has been added, where all amenities are listed and described: a kitchen with full equipment, a lounge with TV and games, Wi-Fi, parking, laundry, and other services. A beautiful gallery of photographs of all areas of the hostel has been created. A section with guest reviews has been implemented to help new travelers understand what to expect. At the reception desk there is information about available services - copying, fax, concierge service, international calls. The entire site is optimized for mobile devices, loads quickly and looks great on any screen. An online booking system has been integrated, which is synchronized with the calendar of available rooms.
